 The Growing Tree is a counseling center dedicated to the needs of children and families.  Children's mental health is an area of practice that requires specialized training and expertise.  We believe that each child is a unique individual who deserves mental health services that are tailored to the child's needs.  Play therapy is a specialized approach to working with young children that allows the therapist to approach the child on the child's developmental level.  We can learn a lot about a child's feelings, thoughts, and behaviors through observing the child's play and engaging the child in developmentally appropriate activities.  A Registered Play Therapist is trained in the theory and techniques of play therapy and is best equipped to provide mental health services to children.  It is our mission to provide the highest quality mental health services to children and families within Wichita, Kansas and the surrounding area.

The Growing Tree offers the following services:

•  Individual therapy for children ages two to eleven
• Group therapy for children ages two to eleven
• Parent-child relationship enhancement therapy
• Professional training or clinical supervision in play therapy (for mental health professionals)
• Trainings for teachers, child care workers, or para-professionals who work with children
